Newz

I'm hopefully getting a looping pedal and a new recording microphone in a couple of weeks, so I'll be able to do some serious recording. Also, my secret friend & I have begun writing a musical. He'll be the director/book-writer, and I'll be music director & co-vocal arranger & creative producer. The working title is "Aim & Ignite: A Musical Based on the Music of fun.," although we still don't have permission to use the music.
So, stay tuned for more information regarding these.... things........

The World's Worst War Is Within/I Believe We Are Lost

The World's Worst War Is Within/I Believe We Are Lost
I wrote this song while reading All Quiet On the Western Front. I definitely had a connection with the main character, not because I have any war experience, but because I recognized a lot of emotions he felt in myself. The second half of the title came from a part in the book where all he could say to convey his torment was "I believe we are lost." That was the entire paragraph. It's a great book, read it. Now. And listen to this song. Now. Enjoy. :)

The Scientist (cover)

Okay, so I said I would post things when I thought they were decent enough to be posted, well that didn't happen XD
Actually, I'm pretty proud of this, it's my cover of The Scientist by Coldplay.
I did it a while back (when I was thinking about going by Kids These Days, but then I realized that was already a band, and I hated that name), now I just feel like this blog will go to waste if I don't put something on it. :)
I hope you like it. Feel free to post comments. I love you for watching it. Thanks and stuff :)

twitter...

Oh! And here's a new Twitter! Follow for less descriptive but still just as fun musings and links right back to here! ;D

ohandmaybeyoutube,butdon'tgettooexcited
So far I have 11 songs, all only with keys and vocals, and aspirations of cello and drums.... Anyway when I finally do come out with an album, whenever that is, I'll let you know here. But in the meantime, when I feel that something is good enough for the Internet, I'll post it. That way, every epic-hipster can follow my journey of musical realization, struggle, mystical powers and gypsies, and new, fun instruments. Thank you, all, and enjoy. Enjoy the monotonous task and self-description that is Secret Friends.
